Thor Musings

I originally wrote this on tumblr this Thursday, March 28, 2013, but as I didn’t want to lose it, I’m reposting it here.

It is Thursday. I sit before the window and watch the steel pass through the sky, dark clouds that allude to the power within them. They bode tidings of storm and thunder; they hint at the old god.

Still-bare trees grope at the power above, as if reaching for the old god. Hands raised in supplication to him and the promise of a storm that still may fall.

Sunlight streams through the window, washing the room in silver-steel light. He stands before me in the clouds. It is his day. Thor’s Day. And he makes himself known again.
